Our Product Lines: Potentiator Series

LifeWise's POTENTIATOR SERIES includes combinations of natural botanical extracts that mimic human physiological responses to MSG. LifeWise's POTENTIATOR SERIES duplicate the functionality of MSG without the presence of added glutamate, nucleotide, amino acid, yeast, HVP or other proteinaceous ingredients that can be problematic for sensitive consumers. LifeWise's POTENTIATOR SERIES flavors are virtually sodium-free. (In some instances it may be necessary to balance the sodium level in order to achieve a full MSG replacement.)

Laboratory evaluations suggest that, for many applications, LifeWise's POTENTIATOR flavors can be used as a 1:1 substitute for MSG. Since POTENTIATOR flavors have a characteristic flavor of their own, it is recommended that their taste impact be evaluated in finished products, rather than in water solutions. Typical Application Levels For savory meat and non-meat products, it is recommended that POTENTIATOR flavors be added at 0.1-0.4% concentration. For seasoning blends, it is recommended that POTENTIATOR flavors be added at 3.0-5.0% concentration. The optimum choice for POTENTIATOR flavor will vary for different product applications.
